When a loved one dies it seems our whole world turns upside down! It is good to give some thought to how you would like others to celebrate your life. When that time comes it can be very consoling for your family and friends to have talked with you and have some plans in place. Some parishioners may even want to keep plans on file in the Parish Office to help Father when he prepares the service with your family.
What should you think about? First, there are the scripture readings-what readings are important for you and your family? Second, suggestions for music are always appreciated. Third, who would you like to read the scriptures, perform the music, bring the gifts to the altar? All of these decisions will be made before the service so why not leave some suggestions to help your pastor, family and friends? Our celebration of your life is an important part of the grieving process so let's make it the best celebration possible!
